the Jesus carnival

Can’t say I haven’t seen something close—and not felt queasy about it.

Reminds me of a carnival more than anything.

And we wonder why our relatives think we are quacks.

Being a Jesus-follower doesn’t mean our being a literal fool for Christ and joining the Jesus carnival—when Paul coined the phrase (fool for Christ) he was talking about being a perceived fool for Jesus because following Jesus makes no sense to the carnal mind.

He didn’t mean we needed to act like a bunch of nut-jobs.

If we are going to be fools, let’s be them for Christ—not for the carnival.
